Wellington Memorial Pool
In 2019, the Wellington Memorial Pool underwent a significant redevelopment project valued at approximately $8.3 million. The renovation included demolishing all structures except for the original entry and swim clubhouse, allowing for the construction of entirely new facilities.
The new complex features three pools, including an 8-lane, 50m competition pool built to FINA’s international standards. Western Survey was engaged by the construction contractor to handle all construction setout and as-built surveys.
Our team meticulously surveyed the site to ensure precise alignment and accurate construction, contributing to the success of this major redevelopment project, which now serves the community with state-of-the-art amenities.
Wellington Christian School
Wellington Christian School, located in Montefiores, NSW, required a detailed survey of the entire school site to support future development and design work.
Western Survey completed a comprehensive survey capturing all external site features, including property boundaries, building locations, and elevations, as well as services, ground levels, and window and door locations. This data was provided in both plan and digital formats, offering an accurate representation of the site. With this critical information, the school was able to pass the survey to design consultants, ensuring that future works would be planned and executed efficiently and in line with the site’s specifications.
Peak Gold Mines, Cobar
In 2019, Peak Gold Mines in Cobar undertook a $37 million upgrade to their lead and zinc processing facility. Western Survey was tasked with surveying and setting out the ground works, concrete locations, and hold down bolt placements required for this major upgrade.
The project demanded millimetre precision to ensure that prefabricated steel works could be accurately placed on the foundations without any issues. Our surveyors provided the highly detailed measurements needed to guarantee the precise placement of all structural elements.
This project required an expert approach, and Western Survey’s attention to detail contributed to the smooth execution of this critical industrial upgrade.
Muronbung Road Widenings, Gollan
As part of a road upgrade project spanning approximately 5km on Muronbung Road in Gollan, the Dubbo Regional Council required the road to be widened to accommodate increased traffic and infrastructure needs.
Western Survey was engaged to facilitate this road widening project, which involved liaising with landowners, the Council, and construction teams. Our role included conducting the necessary surveys to determine the new road reserve boundaries and registering the updated survey plans.
Our precise surveying work ensured that the road widening proceeded without delay, helping improve the infrastructure in the region while adhering to all necessary regulations and specifications.
